Our school is a public high school that carries out general education activities. Seyhan Cengiz Turhan Anatolian High School, which was opened as a public school in Karabük in 2005, has 2 administrators, 17 teachers and 187 students between the ages of 14-18, 2 office workers and 2 assistant personnel. Our school accepts students by exam. Students who are successful in the exam can enroll in the school. Graduates of our school continue to receive academic education at various universities in our country.
The number of students living far from school and living in rural areas is quite high. Most of our students have a low income. Our students, who have a low standard of living and make a living from agriculture and animal husbandry, encounter various obstacles in education compared to their peers. The number of students who want to leave school and work in any job is high. Many of our students strive to be the first in the family to access higher education. Most of our female students experience barriers related to discrimination. The obstacles our students struggle with and the number of students are listed below:

4. Barriers related to education and training systems: 35 students
Our school, which acts with the mission of raising individuals who think scientifically, have high self-confidence and selfesteem, respect human rights, are aware of social and universal problems, produce solutions to these problems, are peaceful, enlightened and forward-thinking, have advanced intellectual aspects, and use foreign languages effectively in their lives. It sends 40% of it to various universities of our country.
Our school has Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer, Social Studies, Foreign Language and Painting Workshop. Guidance Service, sports field and library serve our students. In addition to its many academic achievements, our school also has local and national success in social, cultural, artistic and sports activities.

Our school, which gives importance to foreign language education; It continues its activities in order to place values such as “tolerance, peace, empathy, protecting cultural heritage, cultural dialogue, social
dialogue” in our students and society. Our students, who are willing to learn a foreign language and get to know different cultures and respect human rights, want to take part in an international project and improve their competencies. Many social clubs continue to work in our school.

Our club, which was established to ensure that students take care of the environment, find new solutions to protect the environment and nature, and implement them in order to leave a livable world to future generations, works actively. He continues to work in the theater-drama club and the Music Club at the school.
